Carlisle Maternity Photography
Maternity Photography in Carlisle
Maternity photo sessions take place in my studio in Denton Holme, Carlisle. Pregnancy is a unique chapter in your life, with each baby a moment that won’t come again in the same way. The adorable baby bump, the soft kicks, and the excitement. It’s a special and unforgettable experience. A maternity session is more than just photographs, it is a heartfelt way to capture this moment in time forever.
The ideal time for a maternity session is when you are around 30 to 36 weeks, but it all depends on how much you are showing, along with how uncomfortable it is. Bring Dad to be along and get some unique couples photos. Children and pets are also welcome.
I have a great selection of dresses and backgrounds to suite all styles and tastes, and before your session we will discuss the type of “look” you are after.

Why Choose Keltic Rose Photography for Maternity Portraits?
I could give a number of reasons, but for many mums to be, it comes down to three things.
1. Fun, one of the words that is often used by customers who have had photos sessions with Keltic Rose Photography is great fun
2. Quality, there are many photographers out there, and I believe that I take excellent quality photographs which capture beautiful moments in time.
3. Experience: prioritises creating a personalised and comfortable experience for expectant mothers. Understanding the uniqueness of each pregnancy journey, I work closely with mums to be to tailor sessions according to individual preferences and comfort levels. The goal is to make every client feel at ease, allowing natural emotions and connections to shine through in the photographs.
Maternity photo sessions are only £50 and this includes the photo session (either in the studio or outdoors), a complimentary mounted 7″ x 5″ photograph of your choice.
GREAT PHOTOS
Thank you Allan for some great photos of our family. We have used Keltic Rose photography 3 times and would highly recommend them. Allan is professional and managed to keep the attention of our two young children to create some great photos.
How it works
1. Agree and arrange a date
At this time you need to pay the deposit fee which secures your date. This is £50 and I send an invoice for you to pay via credit card, bank transfer, or we can arrange for you to come to the studio with cash.
2. On the day
On the date agreed you come along to the studio, along with your partner and any children.
Clothing: You probably want to bring neutral-colored underwear that won’t show through maternity dresses. Nude or seamless brass are often a good choice, along with perhaps a sports bra. We have a wardrobe of maternity dresses to wear
Accessories: Consider bringing accessories such as jewelry, scarves, or hats that complement the chosen outfits. Any sentimental items like heirlooms or pieces with personal significance.
Ultrasound Images: Bring copies of ultrasound images if the parents want to incorporate them into the photos.
3. During the session
Maternity sessions usually last about 45 minutes but bank on being in the studio for a little over an hour.
During the session if in the studio you have full use of the studio, there is a changing room, props, and a number of backgrounds – if interested do ask about these when you arrange your session, the default is a studio white background.
4. At the end of the session
At the end of the photo session I will take the remainder of the session fee. This can again be paid by card, bank transfer, or cash.
5. Viewing your images
Up to 2 weeks later I put your photos in a password-protected area, give you the password and you can choose your complimentary 7″ x 5″ photo.
6. After ordering images
Once you have ordered your photographs sit back and a couple of weeks later I will in most cases hand deliver your pictures. If you need a photo urgently let me know and we will see what can be done.
Do you provide Hair and Make Up?
Hair and Make up styling is not part of our standard offering, but these can be added to a standard session with enough notice.
