We are really happy to have chosen Allan to capture our Scottish Blessing.  From our initial meeting with Allan over a coffee to take a look at his portfolio and him then visiting us at home to discuss our requirements, to our pre- Blessing shoot, we felt at ease knowing that we had made the right choice to have Keltic Rose Photography mark our memorable day.

Following a close friend’s recommendation of Keltic Rose Photography, having used Allan’s services for their wedding day, we arranged a meeting with Allan whom we found to be very warm, friendly, down-to-earth and professional with no pressure or obligation to commit.   Allan took us through his related portfolio of photographs and also suggested we look at further photographs on his website.  He was more than happy to answer any questions we had and gave us all of the information required concerning the company’s terms and conditions so that there were no surprises along the way.  As soon as we left the meeting we knew we had found our photographer.

Allan advised that a pre-Blessing shoot would be beneficial to both us and to him; this way we had an idea of how Allan worked and what we would expect on our special day in terms of poses and his photographic style and techniques.  Once we had seen the photographs taken by Allan we were able to decide, which poses we were more fond of for our Blessing photographs.   Something in particular which we appreciated was the time Allan took to put us in position for each photograph.   Something else that took pressure away from us was the questionnaire we were asked to complete prior to the pre-Blessing shoot, from the order of events to our preference of formal photographs including the names of our parents, best man, maid of honour etc.    This did not limit us to making requests of any other group photographs we wished for.  This prove to be very efficient on the day as this assisted not only in ensuring the special photographs were taken but also helped with our prompt departure from the church to the reception venue allowing us to then spend valuable time with our guests before the meal.

On the day of our Scottish Blessing, Allan was very punctual.   Whilst he took photographs of us and a couple of our guests capturing natural moments as we were getting ready at home, we didn’t feel our space was encroached upon.

Allan had already done his homework prior to the Blessing, having visited the church and the venue and noting the best positions for photographs of us and our guests as well as during the service.    He had also spoken with the Reverend earlier in the day to ensure his positions in the church whilst taking photographs would be suitable and not disturb the ceremony.

At the venue, Allan took a wide range of photographs from still poses with family and with friends and informal photographs of our guests, to just the two of us in the hotel and the grounds.

Nothing was too much trouble for Allan and every photograph was made special taking the time regardless if it was with two people or twenty people, Allan ensured everything was perfect particularly the positioning of the wedding dress!  Although Allan has photographed many weddings and has done many photo shoots, he was never complacent and always listened to us and took our wishes on board incorporating them into his photographic style.

Following our Blessing, Allan kept us informed via email and telephone concerning the availability of our photographs, which we received within a couple of weeks.  We are highly impressed with Allan’s work, he has truly captured memories that we shall cherish and we shall definitely request his services again in future. We are truly thankful to him.
